Outreach Week 3: Whole Process, Summer Launch, and May 17

This week, we saw that we are all called to be PRIESTS who “bring people to God” and the church home He has prepared for them. We also explored a holistic vision of how to do this step by step from noticing and blessing all to finding our “persons of peace” to seeing how not only to build relationships with them but to connect them with other people at St. Peter and with our pastors. If you missed worship or need a refresher: Click here for the recording of today’s service – sermon starts at minute 30.30.

Our next step as a congregation is to try these things out using the guide linked below and then come together to talk about them during Sunday School Hour (9am) on Sunday, May 17 to hear, discuss, and pray (no one on the spot).

On the first Easter, the Lord told his disciples to prepare for mission but wait until they were clothed with power from on high. This referred to the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. So too, through these sermons, guides, and their culmination on May 17, we are preparing for a fresh sending by the Holy Spirit on our Pentecost, which is May 24. I invite you to join me in this intentional preparation and fervent prayer: Come, Holy Spirit!

Save us, O Lord, and save this world that you love!

Thank you, and may God bless St. Peter and His whole Church as we join Jesus on HIS mission!
