Preparation for Easter: Saturday Evening
We are in need of many hands on Saturday, April 19! If you are able, please remain AFTER the Easter Vigil worship service to help set out and arrange flowers, hang banners, and fully prepare the sanctuary and grounds for Easter Festival worship. Vigil runs late, Easter morning is early, and much has to be done in between. Sign up on the sheet under the slat wall if you’re willing to be part of this important preparatory work. We are so grateful!
Here is the capstone study guide for Holy Week. Hard copies also available under the slat wall on Maundy Thursday:
Easter Party and Egg Hunt
Please return your filled plastic eggs no later than Good Friday service. Fast-Track pre-registration closes Thursday at 11pm. Click below:

Lenten Small Group: Final Study Guide
Interested in Becoming a Stephen Minister?
A couple weeks ago on “Noticer Sunday,” we mentioned Stephen Ministry. In response to the ongoing growth of the faith community here at St. Peter, our Stephen Ministry program is in need of additional Stephen Ministers – both male and female. Want to learn what being a Stephen Minister is all about? Check out the literature in the Stephen Ministry section of the slat wall. Have questions? Do you feel that God might be calling you to join this mutually beneficial ministry? Then just talk to one of our Stephen Ministry Leaders. Applications must be submitted by May 1 and are available from Vickie Hess. Our next Stephen Ministry training class will be starting on August 8. Stephen Ministry is truly “God’s Love in Action!”
New Thursday Morning Bible Study Topic – April 24
Speak to Paula Ryan if you’re interested in joining the Thursday morning group (meets 9am in the “library” area of the narthex). They’re starting a new study the week following Easter, on the Apostles’ Creed. All are welcome!
Call for Christmas Trees!
We are STILL LOOKING for artificial Christmas trees for our VBS program in the summer of 2025. If you have one that you are ready to get rid of, please let Krista Hunt know. We’d be happy to collect it now or anytime before summer if you don’t plan to keep it for next December. Another option would be if you have a tree you would be willing to loan us for the week during VBS, consider packing it up and leaving in an accessible location to make a quick grab from your storage area in June. Green trees in all sizes, styles, and shapes would be welcomed. Thank you for keeping us in mind!
Thank You – and Thanks be to God!
- For Matt Rockwell, who did a massive amount of furniture-moving last week before and after the professional carpet cleaning was done in the narthex, cry room, and main office.
- For Annette Winterrowd as she ordered Easter flowers, pressed acolyte robes and other vestments, and did all the other work that goes into preparing the altar for Holy Week and the Easter Festival.
- For Jackie and all the Homanns, and their work in preparing and changing paraments during Holy Week and into the Resurrection.
Thanks be to God for these servants and their service!

Process of Discernment: Growing Enrollment and Potential Expansion
RLA is beginning to explore options for expanding the physical school building to accommodate astonishing growth of its student body! Even if you don’t have kids or haven’t been an “RLA person,” please come out to hear more about this vital ministry of the church and where it is headed. There will be no high pressure sales. But, we do also need to hear every voice, in order to know if the Lord is equipping this project to move forward. Thanks for your prayer and support.

RLA CASE STATEMENT: Detailed Project Proposal Here
Survey (open through May 1): Once you are fully informed about the proposal, we request that you fill out a confidential online survey that will assist us in discerning whether the Lord is equipping us for this project at this time. At the least, please read the case statement thoroughly first; Pastor Clark strongly recommends attending an in-person session before doing the survey.
The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. All responses will be compiled and assessed by an independent third-party organization working with the Lutheran Church Extension Fund. You may access the survey by clicking on the following link: https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/IOCY06

Sunday Servants Gather Before Worship
All who help lead the Divine Service gather promptly at 10:05am to take 3 minutes to prepare their hearts and minds for worship. If you are serving as altar guild, usher, crucifer/acolyte, lector, greeter, tech person, elder, musician/dancer, doorkeeper or other HEART member, etc. on a particular Sunday, please come together for quick introductions and short prayer led by Deaconess Amy Smessaert. Together, we will ask God to bless our service to God’s people as we live connected in spiritual formation in Christ. All confirmands and parents are encouraged to participate, whether or not you are serving on that Sunday.
Spring Mid-Week Bible Studies

FRIDAY NIGHT: 1st and 3rd Fridays 6:30pm: we meet in the fellowship hall. Hosts offer dinner from 6:30-7pm, with study beginning at 7pm and lasting an hour or 90 minutes, usually. We are studying Isaiah! If you would like to know more, please see John Schroeder or Mike Fonck.
Pick Your Next Usher Date!
Thanks to everyone who has served as an usher or part of an usher team. It’s time to pick another date to serve! Please sign up on the Sunday Servants sheet on the slat wall.
