Summer Schedule: Worship and Office Hours

Beginning this Sunday, May 25, worship will begin at 9am and Sunday School will be in recess until after Labor Day. Make a note! If you show up at 10:07, you will not be early!

Also, the office hours for summer will be Tuesday and Thursday from about 10:30am to about 12:30pm, and Wednesday from about 1-3pm (different from what was shared last week, apologies!) These times are subject to a bit of “flexing” since there’s very little that needs to happen at a very specific time in the summer – please extend grace. Emailing the office is the surest way to get a response or coordinate a time to drop in!

Voter’s Assembly: Sunday, June 1 after Worship

Join us to elect officers and discuss any new business that needs to come before the Body.

Vacation Bible School

There’s a board by the slat wall where folks can “adopt a day” to donate funds for items needed for this year’s VBS. Instructions are on the board, or you can ask Krista if you need additional info. We also really ask for your PRAYERS: for all the work that goes into preparing the week, for enough volunteers, and for the kids to really have a great week trusting Jesus. Thank you so much for supporting our program in many ways.

Bible Studies & Ministry Updates and Opportunities

Sunday Servants Gather Before Worship

All who help lead the Divine Service gather promptly at 8:55am to take 3 minutes to prepare their hearts and minds for worship. If you are serving as altar guild, usher, crucifer/acolyte, lector, greeter, tech person, elder, musician/dancer, doorkeeper or other HEART member, etc. on a particular Sunday, please come together for quick introductions and short prayer led by Deaconess Amy Smessaert. Together, we will ask God to bless our service to God’s people as we live connected in spiritual formation in Christ.

Mid-Week Bible Studies: On Summer Break

THURSDAY MORNING, 9am at church: Connect with Paula Ryan or call Renee in the office (574-255-5585) if you are interested in joining when we return in the fall.

FRIDAY NIGHT: 1st and 3rd Fridays 6:30pm: Connect with John Schroeder or Mike Fonck if you’re interested in joining when we return in the fall.

Pick Your Next Usher Date!

Thanks to everyone who has served as an usher or part of an usher team. It’s time to pick another date to serve! Please sign up on the Sunday Servants sheet on the slat wall. You can see the specific list of duties, with video demos, here. A veteran usher will assist you and teach you one extra duty beyond communion each time you serve.
