Healthy Baby Boys and Meal Trains
We are pleased to share that Ethan Jeffrey Rockwell and Owen Randall Beheyt both made an appearance on Monday, June 2nd. Moms and babies are doing well – thanks be to God! Please take a look at the following links to help with remaining meals:
VBS Needs
Vacation Bible School starts next week, Monday, June 9! There’s a board by the slat wall with envelopes you can take to donate various amounts of money to support needs of the program, and many of these envelopes still remain on the board. We would so appreciate you taking at least one of the envelopes, as you are able, and returning it to Krista’s box in the office with the requested donation. This will make such a big difference for our kids who participate in VBS next week. See Krista with any questions. Thank you so much for supporting us this year!
PLEASE NOTE Summer Schedule: Worship and Office Hours
Until Rally Day this fall, worship will begin at 9am and Sunday School will be in recess. Make a note! If you show up at 10:07, you will not be early!
Also, the office hours for summer will be Tuesday and Thursday from about 10:30am to about 12:30pm, and Wednesday from about 1-3pm. These times are subject to a bit of “flexing” since there’s very little that needs to happen at a very specific time in the summer – please extend grace. Emailing the office is the surest way to get a response or coordinate a time to drop in!
Women of St. Peter Luncheon
If you are a woman (high school or older) at St. Peter, you’re automatically invited! Please come to Jan Orlowski’s house on Sunday, June 22 at 1pm for a lovely luncheon on her lovely patio. (In case of rain, we’ll be in the basement but the event is still “on.”) No need to bring anything! Thanks, Jan!
Deaconess Amy Smessaert will lead a short devotion in her Women of the Bible series and then we will elect officers and decide where to spend any money remaining in the treasury. See Paula Ryan or Jan if you have questions, and please sign up on the sheet under the slat wall. If you’re unsure how to get there or would prefer to ride with somebody, please let Renee know so we can coordinate logistics. Maps are available with the sign-up sheet on the table under the slat wall.
Thank You – and Thanks be to God!
- For all who helped with the funeral of Elmer Graber this week – receiving flowers, setting up the space, preparing and cleaning up the food, leading the liturgy, and ministering to Cindy and John and their family.
- For Joseph Peggs, who helped Darryl Henk fix some things behind the church damaged by the vandals.
- For everyone who stayed for the Voters’ Assembly.
- For everyone who agreed to serve on the MLT: Brian Reedstrom (President, 2nd term), Alex Homann (Secretary, 2nd term), David Luster-Bartz (Treasurer, Special 5th term), and Dan Hertel (new at-large), as well as Dylan Bergstrom and Andrew Deliyannides, who continue to serve their at-large terms.
- For the Elders who agreed to their re-appointment by the MLT for another two-year term: Chuck Ryan (head elder), Brian Reedstrom, Jeff Rockwell, and Marty Orlowski.
- And for all who continue to serve in many and varied ways in the life and ministry of St. Peter.

RLA CASE STATEMENT: Detailed Project Proposal
Vacation Bible School

There’s a board by the slat wall where folks can “adopt a day” to donate funds for items needed for this year’s VBS. Instructions are on the board, or you can ask Krista if you need additional info. We also really ask for your PRAYERS: for all the work that goes into preparing the week, for enough volunteers, and for the kids to really have a great week trusting Jesus. Thank you so much for supporting our program in many ways.
Bible Studies & Ministry Updates and Opportunities
Sunday Servants Gather Before Worship
All who help lead the Divine Service gather promptly at 8:55am to take 3 minutes to prepare their hearts and minds for worship. If you are serving as altar guild, usher, crucifer/acolyte, lector, greeter, tech person, elder, musician/dancer, doorkeeper or other HEART member, etc. on a particular Sunday, please come together for quick introductions and short prayer led by Deaconess Amy Smessaert. Together, we will ask God to bless our service to God’s people as we live connected in spiritual formation in Christ.
Mid-Week Bible Studies: On Summer Break
THURSDAY MORNING, 9am at church: Connect with Paula Ryan or call Renee in the office (574-255-5585) if you are interested in joining when we return in the fall.

Pick Your Next Usher Date!
Thanks to everyone who has served as an usher or part of an usher team. It’s time to pick another date to serve! Please sign up on the Sunday Servants sheet on the slat wall. You can see the specific list of duties, with video demos, here. A veteran usher will assist you and teach you one extra duty beyond communion each time you serve.
