RLA Expansion Next Steps Cafe: Sunday, July 13 after Worship

The surveys are in and the results are positive! Come enjoy a little hospitality and hear plans for our next steps. There also will be an opportunity to make a definite pledge and commitment for those who so desire. This is the final milestone to prepare for a definite decision on building. We will keep it short and to the point: a 15-minute presentation, followed by discussion. After half an hour of discussion, we will pause so that those who are satisfied may leave; anyone with lingering questions will be invited to stay, and our Director of Development and Team will remain until all are answered.

Do You Have an Electric Recliner to Donate/Sell?

Jill Mink’s partner, Clark, tore his shoulder on the job and now faces surgery. He ultimately needs surgery on the other shoulder as well. Thus, he has a long-term need for a recliner (electric, not pull) to help with pain and recovery. He is a larger man, so it would need to be a decent-sized recliner. If you can help, email PC at adamclarknd@gmail.com.

Mid-Year Contribution Statements

Mid-year reports are available for pick-up by the slat wall beginning this Sunday! Please grab yours and take one to a shut-in, if possible! Any questions (or discrepancies with your records) please see Cindy Matthews.

PLEASE NOTE Summer Schedule: Worship and Office Hours

Worship, 9am until Rally Day this fall (Sunday School in Recess)

Office Hours for summer will be Tuesday and Thursday from about 10:30am to about 12:30pm, and Wednesday from about 1-3pm. These times are subject to “flexing,” since there’s less that needs to happen at a very specific time in the summer. Please extend grace. Emailing the office is the surest way to get a response or coordinate a drop in!

Sunday Servants Gather Before Worship

All who help lead the Divine Service gather promptly at 8:55am to take 3 minutes to prepare their hearts and minds for worship. If you are serving as altar guild, usher, crucifer/acolyte, lector, greeter, tech person, elder, musician/dancer, doorkeeper or other HEART member, etc. on a particular Sunday, please come together for quick introductions and short prayer led by Deaconess Amy Smessaert. Together, we will ask God to bless our service to God’s people as we live connected in spiritual formation in Christ.

Mid-Week Bible Studies: On Summer Break

THURSDAY MORNING, 9am at church: Connect with Paula Ryan or call Renee in the office (574-255-5585) if you are interested in joining when we return in the fall.

FRIDAY NIGHT: 1st and 3rd Fridays 6:30pm: Connect with John Schroeder or Mike Fonck if you’re interested in joining when we return in the fall.

Pick Your Next Usher Date!

Thanks to everyone who has served as an usher or part of an usher team. It’s time to pick another date to serve! Please sign up on the Sunday Servants sheet on the slat wall. You can see the specific list of duties, with video demos, here. A veteran usher will assist you and teach you one extra duty beyond communion each time you serve.
