All Saints’ Day Remembrance
“Therefore with angels and archangels, and with all the company of heaven, we laud and magnify Your glorious name, evermore praising You and singing…” proclaims the presiding minister in the Great Thanksgiving.
At the Feast of All Saints on Sunday, November 1, we will remember with thanksgiving those who have lived and died in Christ Jesus. Their lives lived in the faith with the Holy Christian Church are a sign of the hope we have in Christ Jesus and an image of the glory we shall inherit. Even more, we are gathered and live connected at the Lord’s Table with the faithful of every time and place, trusting that the promises of God will be fulfilled and that all tears will be wiped away in the new Jerusalem.
We give thanks to our God for those who have Fallen Asleep in Jesus because of the grace of God that was given them in Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:4).
If you have someone who has Fallen Asleep in Jesus since last All Saints’ Day (Nov. 1, 2025) and you would like us to remember them in the liturgy on Sunday, November 1, please complete the form under the slat wall and place it in the ballot box . You may also call/email the office with the names, Asleep In Jesus date, and relationship to you NO LATER THAN Tuesday, October 27.

Sunday School Lessons
25 October – As we gather today, we will study “A Family Reunites,” as God helps Joseph forgive. Joseph’s siblings journey to Egypt hoping to find food for their family. Failing to recognize Joseph, the brothers head home with sustenance and supplies. Heeding Joseph’s early warning, the brothers bring Benjamin when returning to Egypt for food. After testing and trying his brothers, Joseph finally reveals himself to his astonished siblings. Joseph relocates all of Jacob’s family to Egypt, promising to care for them.
Thank You – and Thanks be to God
- For all who continue to lead or participate in Ministry Teams and all who minister to our neighbors and to the faithful gathered by the Long Arms of the Cross.

Capital Campaign Status Update
During the Back To School Matching Gift Drive in August, we received more than $32,800 in new donations. We also received a very large stock gift of more than $450,000. This puts our total raised to more than $2,600,000! We have less than a million dollars left to go! Praise be to God!
We continue to remain thankful for everyone who has pledged to the capital campaign. You can check this page for progress on the build:

Sunday Servants Gather before Worship
All who help lead the Divine Service gather promptly at 10:05am to take 3 minutes to prepare their hearts and minds for worship. If you are serving as altar guild, usher, crucifer/acolyte, lector, greeter, tech person, elder, musician/dancer, doorkeeper or other HEART member, etc. on a particular Sunday, please come together for quick introductions and short prayer led by Deaconess Amy Smessaert. Together, we will ask God to bless our service to God’s people as we live connected in spiritual formation in Christ.
