Special Voters’ Assembly
Please plan to remain after worship on Sunday, February 12 for a special meeting of the Voters’ Assembly. The purpose is to vote on whether or not to submit what’s called an “Overture” to Synod this summer, regarding the diversity/equity/love/justice conversations Pastor Clark guided us through in the fall. Full details will be given at the Assembly, but a membership quorum is required in order to have the vote. Please speak with Pastor Clark if you have questions between now and the 12th.
Nominations for LCMS President
Each congregation can nominate one candidate for LCMS President. The Mission Leadership Team is presently considering the Rev. Dr. Patrick Ferry, immediate past president of Concordia University Wisconsin and Ann Arbor. You may read more about his vision for Synod at patferry.com, a website formed at the request of others considering him for nomination. Input on Dr. Ferry or other candidates for consideration can be submitted to the MLT via President Jeff Luppes, email@example.com. Final vote at February MLT.
