Fall Voters’ Assembly: Sunday, November 15th after worship

The primary agenda for this Voters’ Assembly is the 2027 Kingdom Spending Plan (budget). Hard copies of the KSP will be available at the meeting, but please review one of the following ahead of time, if possible. Likewise, if you KNOW you have a question, please also send that ahead if possible to Pres. Reedstrom at brianreedstrom@gmail.com.

Advent by Candlelight: Sunday, December 6, 6:30-8:30pm
Resting in God’s Regard for Mary

Women of St. Peter: Sign up by November 15 to attend Advent by Candlelight. This event is designed to help prepare our hearts to receive the Christ child – to take a holy pause amid the rush of holiday preparations and the challenges of our lives to ponder with Mary the miracle of Emmanuel, God-with-us.

Advent by Candlelight will feature festive tables, both sweet and savory refreshments, and a program that includes time for reflection and conversation. Once we know how many are planning to attend, we can sort out details and help needed for decorating tables, preparing food, etc. The sign-up sheet is on the table in the narthex. We look forward to seeing you and your guests! Questions: Contact Amy Smessaert or Jackie Homann.

Programs from Wine & the Word available!

Please help yourself to a printed copy of the program from the Women of St. Peter’s Wine and the Word event on Oct. 25. The program focused on seven women – mostly from the USA – who contributed to the rich Lutheran hymnody that has nourished our faith for 250+ years. Email Deaconess Amy Smessaert for additional copies.

Livestream or Catch Up on Bible Studies!

Thanks to our new A/V setup in the Fellowship Hall, you will now be able to livestream some of our bible studies, or watch the video later if you miss it. Note that this is a one-way video (you can watch but not participate, even on the livestream).

Sunday School Lessons

8 November – ““The Passover Promise” is this week’s lesson about God’s establishment of the Passover. God, through Moses, threatens one final plague—worse than any previously experienced. Following God’s instructions, the Israelites make careful preparations for the Passover, marking their doorposts with the blood of a lamb prepared for the feast. The final plague takes place at midnight as all the firstborn throughout Egypt die. The Egyptians hand over their valuables, hastening the Israelites away.

Thank You – and Thanks be to God

Capital Campaign Status Update

During the Back To School Matching Gift Drive in August, we received more than $32,800 in new donations. We also received a very large stock gift of more than $450,000. This puts our total raised to more than $2,600,000! We have less than a million dollars left to go! Praise be to God!

We continue to remain thankful for everyone who has pledged to the capital campaign. You can check this page for progress on the build:

Sunday Servants Gather before Worship

All who help lead the Divine Service gather promptly at 10:05am to take 3 minutes to prepare their hearts and minds for worship. If you are serving as altar guild, usher, crucifer/acolyte, lector, greeter, tech person, elder, musician/dancer, doorkeeper or other HEART member, etc. on a particular Sunday, please come together for quick introductions and short prayer led by Deaconess Amy Smessaert. Together, we will ask God to bless our service to God’s people as we live connected in spiritual formation in Christ.
